2. NETBALL TEAM NO.
There are 14 people on a court at one time (7 people for each team) but
normally a team will have 8-12 people so they can have extras/reserves and
everyone can have a break for a quarter as it is tiring.
3. AMERICAN FOOTBALL TEAM NO.
There are 53 players on professional NFL teams. Each team has 11 offensive
and 11 defensive players that are allowed to play on the field. The rest of the
players represent substitutes and special teams personnel.
4. VOLLEYBALL TEAM NO.
6 players for an indoor volleyball team and 2 generally for outdoor or beach
volleyball.
5. BASKETBALL TEAM NO.
there must be a minimum of 10 players on a team and a maximum of 15
players. Only 12 players can be active to play a game, and 10 players must be
active with 5 starters and 5 reserves, or bench players. There are 5 from each
team playing on the court at any one time. If a team does not have 5 players
on the court, the team forfeits and the other team automatically wins.
6. HOCKEY TEAM NO.FOR FIELD AND ICE HOCKEY AND
STREET FLOOR AND IN LINE HOCKEY
Field hockey:
A team may have up to 16 players, of which 11 may be on the pitch at any time.
There is no discrimination between players in different positions.
Ice Hockey:
NHL teams may list up to twenty two (22) players on their official rosters.
The standard roster line-up consists of twelve (12) forwards, eight (8) defensemen and two (2) goaltenders.
Street, Floor and In-Line Hockey:
Depending on the governing league, teams in these categories normally list between sixteen to twenty ( 16 -
20) players on their rosters.
(positions vary by number of players per roster.)
7. BOWLING TEAM NO.
In league competition, a team generally consists of from 2 to 5 players, with
teams of 4 being the most common (especially in mixed leagues, since it
allows for two men and two women).
