Poor Waste Management
• Example: Sungai Semenyih, 2016.
• The river water was contaminated with countless
toxic substances especially ammonia that was
discharged from nearby factories.
• Strategy:
Resulted scheduled wastes such as ammonia were
required to separate from the plant and are required
to hand over it to the right premises that are able to
dispose such wastes properly such as ChemLab or
Enviro, In accordance to the Environmental Quality

Environmental effects around the factory
• Example: Steel-coating factory at Bukit Minyak,
2014.
• Caused the villagers of Kampung Tuk Subuh in
Bukit Minyak to suffer air pollution that caused
by the factory. The high wind current around
the area also plays the role of carrying out the
dust and contaminated air to the village.
• Strategy:
The industry have to carry out the
environmental profiling beforehand to find the
suitability of such industrialization that
particular area. Moreover, to advance into
industrial 4.0 approach, such industries are
required to install filters or any other equipment
or sustainable methods that can cure or
purified the industrial before emitting to the
environment. They also can take this
opportunity to make use of such wastes to
approach other sustainable processes like
using the wastes for other purposes as
renewable resources or to generate green

Overconsumption of natural resources
• Example: Petroleum, woods and metal ores.
• Overconsumption of resources that leads to other natural disaster like global warming.
• Caused by production of defects and uncontrolled processes to meet customer requirements.
• Strategy:
Using industrial 4.0 approach with advance technologies to control the production of defects, by using sensors
and robots as well as shared technological knowledge among other companies via online. use alternative way
to dispose such waste – recycling.
