Eckhart Tolle is a world renowned spiritual teacher and author who has been called "the most popular
spiritual author in the United States" by the New York Times and "the most spiritually influential person
in the world" by the Watkins Review.
He is the author of the number one New York Times Best seller “The Power of Now” which has been
translated into over 30 languages and the highly successful follow up book “A New Earth.”
Living in London in his late 20's after spending much of his life in a state of depression, he awoke one
evening with negative thoughts and feelings that he says were "almost unbearable", he then underwent
what he describes as a profound inner transformation which altered his state of consciousness and
changed his life forever as he describes below.

This is how it is, I gave the example ' I'm stuck in the mud ' this is the situation right now.
You become a victim in your own mind ' why is this happening to me ', victim identity, complaining.
But just look at the situation without labelling it ' this is where I am right now ' and you accept that this
is how it is, the isness of life at this moment.
And then a greater intelligence arises because you become present with what is."
