Sliema means peace. It
was a fishing village.

Our school is called St. Clare
College Sliema Primary.
It is big and nice.
Our headmistress is Mrs. De
Bono.

4. Local Council
The Local Council
helps us keep Sliema
clean. The coat of
arms is white and red.

White Shadows statue
Shows a picture of a family.
It was designed by Richard England.

There are some towers in Sliema.
It- Torri
De Redin Tower - built to protect Malta from sea attacks.

Sliema Point Battery built by the
British in the 1880s.

There are 2 shopping malls.

Fort Cambridge – was
a military barracks
Fort Tigne – where the Turkish
commander used his canons to
bombard St Elmo.
Old sea water distilling plant

People enjoy walking especially in Summer.
