During the process of the meeting that took place on thursday, june 7, at the Lounge
Room Pleasura with the administrative and nurse staff in behalf of the fire incident and
the consequences, here are the details.
We were divided in 4 groups. The nurse staff, the financial staff, the reporters and the
fire department.
The nurse staff: each nurse narrated he/she experience at the fire incident and how
they contribute to the safeness of the patients.
• They were divided in 3: the healers, the listeners and the responders.
• The healers a give first aid to the patients, the responders were who entered the
building and took them out and the listeners helped them through the process.
• They worked in group and all patients were ok.
• They question the fire department about the assistant director in nursing that
were there with them. Because no kids were involved at the incident so we
asked her to she’s roll in there.
• They leave on the table the request of taking a training from the Fire
Department for what to do in case of an emergency.
The fire department staff: their staff was formed by The President of the Council of
officers from the department, the station commander, the operational director, an
operative guard, the driver of the official vehicule and assistant director in nursing.
• The call was received at 8:15 PM
• They took 15 minutes to arrived at the fire and they had the skech of the place
so it was easy to get there.
• The fire was at building 8 and took them 1 hour and 35 minutes to control the
fire.
• They used 500 gallons of water (1892.71 liters)
• The operation was a success.
• They recomended to examinate all the emergency equipment including the
sprinklers (that didn’t activated in the fire)
Financial Staff: they provided the details of how the fire affect the property and how
much cost them the remodeling.
• They provided the numbers ($) of the damaged and the furniture that they had
to replaced.
• They denied at this time the training that the nurse staff request
The reporters staff: there were differents channels and agencies. They questioned the
differents staff in order to know what happened in the fire, if they were prepared, if it
could have been avoided and how they should have up to date their equipment of fires
or emergencies.
