The idea: Gavin and Stacey the Movie
The film starts where the series finishes, Stacey is pregnant and Gavin and his parents are
busy readying the house for its arrival. During the film Brinn meets someone and introduces
him to Gwen and the rest of the family. Romance blossoms between Smithy and Nessa, and
near the end of the film the baby is born, it ends with a happy ending with the christening.

Gurinder Chadha- Based on her previous experiences with quite modern day and comedic films such
as Angus thongs and perfect snogging and bend it like beckham.
Christine Gernon- The original director of the series would help to make sure the film has the same
feel as the series.

Dear potential investor,
I am creating a film which I think will attract much interest in the cinemas. Gavin and Stacey the
series was very popular having a total of 3 series and one Christmas special, creating an opportunity
for a film sequel. This will attract audiences who watched the Gavin and Stacey series as they will
want to find out what happened next and it may also attracted viewers who have never seen the

2. series before. It may also intrigue audiences as they want to find out who Bryn will meet and what
the baby will look like.
Possible audiences for the film will be fans of the series and potential fans who never got to watch it.
Also fans of romantic comedy films, similar films such as the Inbetweeners Movie which made £45
million in the UK box office, so making it even more promising to make a Gavin and Stacey film.
