RADIO AD
        RESERACH
As another form of advertising our
documentary we will also have to create and
record our own radio ad's. Today we
researched the basic's regarding radio ad's
and what they involve when making them.
We looked at:
• The average duration
• The average duration of a radio advert is 30-
60 second spots. Different radio stations offer
longer but these are the most common
Use of special effects
• There are different vocal effects such as
reversing delay, which alters the voice of the
speaker. Using special effects may compliment
the objective your ad is trying to give off to
the listener. By doing this is entices the
listening and makes them more likely to want
  to listen.
Use of extracts from the doc
• Radio adverts normally have a dialogue-heavy script.
Unlike TV adverts where the viewer can see what is
being advertised, a radio advertisement must use wit,
memorable lines, or catchphrases to draw the interest
  of a listener.
•
Radio scripts often take the form of conversations
between two people that reference the product or
company being advertised. Slogans are also often
  worked into the dialogue.
How music is used to target specific
  audience
• Certain music will attract a specific audience
and may make them more likely to want to
watch our documentary. I.e. if we had the
sound of a popular game in the background,
the audience will automatically be more
attracted to listen if they like games and play
  them.
How language is used to target
  specific audiences
• Language is very conversational and friendly
which draws in the reader as they can not see
who is talking so they have to be comfortable
  with their voice.
How voiceover is used
• A voice over is used to help guide the listener
about the product so that they understand
what they are talking about as they cannot be
  physically seen.
