NCYM2016 GENERAL PROGRAM
Editor's Notes
Focusing on 2016 as the Jubilee of Mercy, Year of the Eucharist and Family, youth ministers are called to be radical in experiencing and in sharing the mercy of God.
In the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist, we gather as God’s family to receive Jesus’ redeeming love and mercy, even while we were sinners.
As youth ministers, we are invited to heed the call of bringing God’s merciful love to the young people entrusted to our care. We move with gratitude for the unending grace and mercy that our Lord gives us, while also taking responsibility to become radical, not only in contemplating Him, Who is the face of mercy, but in treading the path of merciful love; especially in the way we fulfill our mission as God’s servants to the young.
Morning
Morning Prayer: Regional encounters
Part of the morning prayer is the regional encounter. In their respective regions, youth ministers will reflect and share on their present realities upon coming to the NCYM – how they have experienced God’s merciful love in their own journey of faith.
Plenary Session:
The plenary speaker provides deepening on the NCYM2016 Theme, linking the shared reflections of the participants from the Morning Prayer.

Some activities are offered to the participants to join in as part of continuing reflection and celebration of God’s merciful love to the young. They are encouraged to join these evening activities together with their foster families.
