A Few Facts About Predict
Customer Retention
Keep an existing customer is likely far
less costly than acquiring a new one so
predictive analytics is used to make
better decisions. When doing predictive
analytics, mathematics algorithms coded
in to software tools that find complex
hidden patterns in data by using tools
such as decision tree and regression
classification.
A model is also used in predictive customer
retention to make different and better
decisions by describing pattern found in data
and way to determine the things of interest.
It is created with data mining methods and
tells us which new customers are likely to
return and which are probably one timer.
A forecast model is used to calculate how
much profit a predictive retention campaign
will generate by calculating total number of
customers and how much retention campaign
will cost per contact.
It also tells us response rate of campaign
which depends on design and execution of
each customer contact.
