Michigan-based attorney Cullen McKinney is founding partner and principal of Tanoury, Nauts, McKinney and Garbarino (TNMG), PLLC, a Detroit civil litigation law firm where he serves individual and corporate clients. Besides holding significant legal experience spanning more than a decade, Cullen McKinney is a member of professional organizations such as the American Law Society. The American Law Society (ALS) is an invitation-only organization that brings together top legal professionals, with an aim of helping them boost their legal practice. ALS members include lawyers, judges, private investigators, doctors, professors, and certified expert witnesses, among others, all with exemplary professional and ethical standards. The American Law Society uses a three-step selection process to vet potential members. To begin, the organization’s board conducts a comprehensive professional background check that includes gathering professional information from public resources and feedback from colleagues, references, past employers, clients, mentors, peers, and predecessors. After the professional assessment is concluded, the board votes to determine if a candidate has satisfied all professional requirements before advancing to the final vetting interview. In the final step, the board contacts the candidate to take part in a final vetting interview to ascertain if the information presented about them in previous stages is accurate. After the interview, a candidate is promptly notified whether he or she has been granted or denied membership.
