1. For my double page spread, I will write a paragraph introducing and talking a little bit
about Imperium and then I will have the conducted interview set out in a question and
answer format.
Here are some of the questions I will be asking them in our interview:
• How did you all come together and decide to make a band?
• Why did you guys choose the name “Imperium”?
• What do you enjoy most about being in a band together?
• What got you into music?
• Who are other bands/artists that you look up to?
• Have you had any struggles in starting up the band?
• Where do you see Imperium in 10 years time?
• What were your favourite gigs/events to do so far?
• Do you guys have any traditions you do before performing live?
• Do you ever get nervous when performing live?
I may add more questions and adapt some to the answers that the band gives, but these
are some of the questions that I have planned to ask them.

2. This DPS from Kerrang magazine is similar to how I would like my finished DPS to look. The image shows the artist
giving direct mode of address to the audience by making direct eye contact at the camera. For my image, I will either
make my band look directly at the camera, giving the audience direct mode of address; or use a picture of them
performing live. The text is mostly on one side and the picture on the other, although there are some overlaps visible
through the headline and in the background. There is a short standfirst that stands out, an introductory
paragraph, and then the interview set out in a question and answer format.
3. This DPS from Rock Sound was an interview with Oli Sykes in March 2013, set out in a question and answer
form, similar to how I’d like my own DPS to look like. Some of the questions I’ve found useful for my research
included questions about:
• Solo activities “...you made your first million from Drop Dead...”
• Albums “What was the reason behind the vocal departure on album two?”
• Events/Gigs “How was Warped Tour?”
• Future plans “Do you want to break America?”
