Construction sites and electrical work are among the most dangerous industries due to heavy machinery and live electricity. In the 1970s, there were almost 38 worker deaths per day in the US, but that number decreased to 12 per day by 2013 thanks to safety regulations from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) that have established better workplace safety standards.
