2. Overview
Twitter is what you make of it
Think of it as a phone, you don’t train someone to
use it but can be used for a specific goal…i.e
telemarketing
No Best Practices yet, but some great case
studies
Yea we know only 45 people working there and
we don’t have a business model yet
Shocker highlight story was MC Hammer,
articulate and authentic!
SM Policies are starting to be in place, very
specific to the company, almost an add on at
orientation
3. Key Learnings
Dedicated Landing Page
Track using Bitly or Hootsuite
Organize with CoTweet
Twitter works when it is useful and
relevant, has a strong personality behind it and
you engage with all by responding to all
Communication coming from everyone at the
company instead of just PR
Global neighborhoods, not geo anymore
4. Conference itself
It was about the user
we created our topics to discuss at lunch
We voted on what twitter pitches to hear
Uploaded pics and video to flickr group
Blog postings are posted on the website after
conference
Promotion was through twitter and through
connections pre and post event
no (ppt) Shel Israel launched power point and he
apologizes. My Notes was cool
