10. III/ Conclusions
• Poor legislation concerning rights and duties in common lands. Very basic
regulation.
• Current exploitation (users): Mainly recreational. Poor legislation.
• Traditional use. (usufructuary): Hunting. Hunting spots auctioned among
the neighbours. Clear legislation.
• Great importance of local action groups (NGO’s) in the management and
preservation of common lands.
• Different management levels concerning public admnistrations.
– Local level: Town council and Consell de Mallorca
– Regional level: IBANAT. Govern de les Illes Balears.
