The COVID-19 cluster at the Harbor Lights condominium complex is now up to 92
cases, with more testing to continue, a county ofcial and a Harbor Lights
representative said on Friday. The Health Department believes the outbreak at the
Kahului complex is due to a holiday choir practice. Last week, the cluster had
reached at least 30 cases and has since tripled.
Mayor Michael Victorino also confrmed that the county asked Gov. David Ige to
impose a stay-at-home order for the complex, but it was denied by the Atorney
General and Governor's Ofce. “So the stay-at-home order cannot be implemented
(for Harbor Lights) because the governor said no to that,” Victorino said.

“The threat of COVID-19 is unprecedented and requires aggressive action. I have been
in discussions with our county mayors who are developing their own plans to meet the
unique needs of their counties. We also agree that a statewide order is necessary for
cohesion and consistency.” - Governor David Y. Ige

people older than 70. Health ofcials say Hawaii’s long-term care clusters have often
occurred after caregivers unwitingly introduced the virus to smaller care home

staf. This continued guidance is still necessary to help protect the health and safety
of our residents and staf. Please continue to follow the recommendations below to
ensure you and everyone’s safety from COVID-19.

If you are in need of a face mask please ask any staf member or at the Front
Desk.

allow scheduled and time-limited family visitations of residents in the community by
appointment only. Two outdoor areas, the Memory Care courtyard and the lanai area
near our Main Dining Room, will be available and a screen shield placed for added
protection. Video chat services are still being provided if you would like to speak
with your loved one. Increase Wi-Fi access points have been installed the frst week in
November, on each foor, to improve our internet access. Please contact our Activity
Department at Roselani Place to arrange this service.
