Many primary school pupils in low income communities do not have access to quality education to enable them acquire literacy and numeracy skills. 1. Aggregation of savings deposit to form an investment fund The proceeds from the high yield secured invested fund is used to fund Home Teachers to help the pupils acquire the required skills. This is the model of Kashiva Social Enterprise Fund. 2. Funding also comes from subsidized fee of $5 per month paid by parents. 3. A teacher gets up to $50 per month teaching for 10 pupils at one location 4. It creates jobs for young graduates during their gap years.
