2. Nyc Compost Project
• The NYC Compost Project was created by the NYC Department of
Sanitation in 1993 to provide compost education and outreach to
NYC residents, nonprofit organizations, and businesses. Most of the
successful community-based composting operations in NYC have
received technical assistance from the NYC Compost Project
