1. MINUTES OF THE 8TH LDV PARTNERSHIP MEETING
in Liepaja/ Latvia
08. – 11.06.2014
- Meeting in City Council. Career guidance in Liepaja.
 Mr. Gunārs Ansiņš, Deputy Chairman of the Liepāja City Council: gave presentation
about Liepaja economic development and further city development plans. In
discussion also was included questions about education role in new sector
development.
 Ms. Ilze Cēbere, Project manager of the Educational department of Liepaja:
presentations of the activities and opportunaties in career guidence in Liepaja. State
organized guarantee events for youth and Project NEET (not in employment,
education or training) what are initiated from EU side and organised by State
Employment agency. Gave examples of good practice in the promotion of career
choices in Liepaja.
- Visit Liepaja State technical school.
Visit of Liepaja State technical school practical training workshops. Guests were visiting
carpenter, mechatronic, electric and woodworker organized informative workshops, meetings
and discussions were organized with learners and educational staff.
- Project management meeting and work on the project final report.
Final report. Final report consist of two parts: 1st – for national agency and 2nd common part
(together for all partners).
 Common part will be done by Yalcin Yavuz Bellikli.
- E-booklet with good practice in VET Guidance. Each of country has to be done 3 examples
of good practices in VET Guidance.
 Each of partners: check text.
 Radu Daniela Laura: introduction and short description.
 Will be done by Radu Daniela Laura, Romania till end of June.
- Download and fill final report what each of partner have done, where published information
about project.
- Upload all craft video.

- 6 plans of career. Information and students have to take from questioner. The Latvian
partner from Liepaja State technical school provided a template - example:

2.  Briefly write profile of student (age, school), explain situation, introduction of
school, interpretation and suggestion for career guidance.
 Result – 1 .pdf file content example of questioner, interpretation and suggestion per
student
 Deadline: middle of July
- Check logo on all documents on YahooGroup.
- Upload all files for each country to Moodle system. Individually.
- Collect all videos in DVD (for NA).
 Amelia Aguilar: prepare and send each of the partners DVD cover design.
- Introduction of Latvian National culture, excursions organized in city and region, tasting
traditional foods and meeting in folk center “Namīns”. Traditional song and dance
performances organized by folk group “Atštaukas” and dance performance by VECC
Liepaja State technical school folk dance group “Odziņa”.
- Visit to Kuldiga’s Technical School.
 Meeting with director of school Dace Cine. Presentation about VECC Kuldigas
Technical School, introduction in programs that are in realization. Good practice
examples in career development- Craftsman school, cooperation with other regional
professional schools.
 Visiting practical workshops of auto mechanic, woodworker and electrician specialty
students. Meetings and discussions with leading teachers.
