2. Narrative
I came up with a couple of different narrative for example
• A love story
• A action, fight story
However I quickly decide my narrative would be all about females
dominance and women taking over the world. In the next couple of
slides will inform you of the three initial ideas which I had to present
this narrative through a music video.
3. Idea one (Salute by Little Mix)
• My first initial idea I came up with to represent female dominance
and women taking over the world was a army themed dance to salute
by little mix. I the official video the girls are rather dominate anyway
and the lyrics imply women fighting for the country “Sisters we are
everywhere. Warriors, your country needs you." In my video I would
have close ups of the girls showing importance, them stood up right
looking again important and dominant, there actions to be sassy to
show they are in control and I would have a section where they
control the men.
4. Idea two (Run the World by Beyoncé)
• Beyoncé's Run the World was another ideal song choice as Queen
Bee herself is already a very dominant women and sings all her songs
with power and dominance but in the lyrics she states "Who run the
world? Girls." In the official video there is a fight between the women
and the authorities (the men) however in my video I would come
across it in a different way. I would have the men sat on chairs acting
like puppets and the women controlling them, telling them what to
do and then scenes with actual puppets to clarify they are puppets.
5. Idea three (Broken Heels by Alexandra Burke)
• Alexandra Burke's Broken Heels is another option of song. Her song is
all about Women doing a mans job twice as good. The official video is
abstract the women are dancing heels wearing American football
outfits it is set at an American football stadium in the changing
rooms, on the pitch and in the tunnel. In my video I would get men
dancing in heels and not being able to stand then flashes to women
dancing, flipping, leaping in heels showing how women can do things
better. I would also have sections of just singing to the men telling
them we can do it better.
