Thanks to parents and grandparents who encouraged me to pursue science, cooking, writing, and creative arts activities, my career has had an eclectic journey. It has included writing food and nutrition features for US and Canadian publications; creating educational videos and a cable TV health show, teaching: food, nutrition, health and communication courses; directing health and fitness programs; consulting as a Registered Dietitian; and being a performance poet. At 'retirement age' I took AARP's "Reinvent Yourself" challenge and began studying digital cinema (aka filmmaking) at the Art Institute of CA.
