4. PRODUCTION WEEK Chloe Collins
Displayed on this page is my routine in show week of Billy Elliot. I would perform this
routine before and during the show.
Date: 13th – 18th February 2017
Time: Monday 13th February (day show) = 8:00am – 10:50pm
Tuesday 14th February (day show) = 8:00am – 10:50pm
Saturday 18th February (day show) = 12:30pm – 3:30pm
Tuesday 14th until Saturday 18th (evening performances) = 5:30pm – 8:30pm
Health and Safety Point: This could course:
Mopping the stage People falling over could cause an injury
(slip hazard)
Bench and chairs Dropping them on your or other people’s
feet could cause an injury.
Putting wardrobe in its place Could run over feet causing an injury
Wooden handles on placards Splinters
Coms Tripping over wire
Who else was involved: Emily Pugh (Stage Management) and Emily Howard (stage
Management) for wardrobe going on
Emily Pugh helping with the ballet girls fans
Freya Slater (costume) going up the ladder for the slash
curtain.
Elisha for props ques.
Problems I came across:
People walking across the stage when it was being mopped for
sound checks- in order to stop this from happening I started
Throughoutthe productionIwould
use coms to be able to talkto
Elishastage left- thismeantI
wouldbe aware of any problems
and be able to sort themoutif

able to getcuesfor certainprops.

mopping the stage earlier so it was washed and dried for when the
sound checks started.
When ballet girls came off with their fans they would chuck them
anywhere meaning it was hard to collect them all before the next
scene where people could trip over them.
Chairs being left on stage when they were supposed to be stacked
before Expressing yourself- after we realised this was happening
quite a lot Elisha would tell me on coms where the chairs where left
in which I would go on and stack them in the next scene change.
The chairs would be pushed further on stage when the wardrobe
went on, this was okay because it was behind the wardrobe but they
are needed to be put back before the whole cast would come on at
the end of Expressing Yourself- after we realised in the first few
show this was happening after collected extra chairs I would push
the stack over so it wasn’t in the way of the flap. If no chairs were
left on the stage I would push the chairs further over on the next
black out.
People often walked in to the dresser when coming through the flap
because of how dark it was- when I realised this was happening I
would warn them when they were coming through the flap to mind
out of the dresser.
