1. To recreate my magazine I used adobe indesign and adobe photoshop. I used photoshop to edit and
crop pictures and then place them onto my magazine on indesign. I used the magnetic magic wand
tool so that I could crop out the rider and then place him back in the same place on indesign so that I
could make him appear in front of the masthead . I used the text tool to try and get an identical copy
to the font used in the original. The colour of the font is also very similar. I have learnt how to crop
an awkward image perfectly using the magnetic magic wand tool and then place an image onto a
different document without it having a white box around it.
The strengths of my version are that the font and font colour are very similar and in similar places.
Also the fact that the rider is infront of the masthead is a strong point of mine. It looks good,
however the picture in my magazine is quite a lot different to the one in the published magazine,
this meant that I had to put “Red Bull Empire of Dirt” on the othere side of the rider/magazine.
Overall I am pleased with the way that my magazine came out, I think that it looks quite professional
and realistic.it looks quite similar to the original, but if I were to do it again then I would try to find a
picture that is more like the one they used.
