Birds, caterpillars, and insects in addition to bumblebees can act as pollinators. Plants have developed various methods of dispersing their seeds such as exploding pods, squirting fruits, or having wings or tufts of hair for wind dispersal. Germination requires certain conditions such as warmth, water, and air while maturation involves processes like photosynthesis, transport of water and nutrients, and transpiration as plants grow from seeds into saplings.
