3. 1) FAITH IN GREAT GOD CAN TURN YOU
FROM NOBODY INTO SOMEBODY IN GOD’S
SIGHT FOR HIS GLORY
ILLUS: ABRAHAM
Romans 4:16 Therefore it is of faith, that it
might be by grace; to the end the promise might
be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is
of the law, but to that also which is of the faith
of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
Romans 4:17 (As it is written, I have made
thee a father of many nations,) before him
whom he believed, evenGod, who quickeneth
the dead, and calleth those things which be not
as though they were.
4. Romans 4:18 Who against hope
believed in hope, that he might
become the father of many nations,
according to that which was spoken,
So shall thy seed be.
Romans 4:19 And being not weak
in faith, he considered not his own
body now dead, when he was about
an hundred years old, neither yet
the deadness of Sara's womb:
5. Romans 4:20 He staggered
not at the promise of God
through unbelief; but was
strong in faith, giving glory to
God;
Romans 4:21 And being fully
persuaded that, what he had
promised, he was able also to
perform.
6. Luke 1:37 For with God
nothing shall be impossible.
Luke 1:38 And Mary said,
Behold the handmaid of the
Lord; be it unto me
according to thy word. And
the angel departed from
her.
7. 2) PROBLEM-SOLVER MINDSET LED BY THE
HOLY SPIRIT CAN TURN TRIALS INTO
TRIUMPHS FOR GOD’S GLORY
ILLUS: ZACCHAEUS
Luke 19:1 And Jesus entered and passed
through Jericho.
Luke 19:2 And, behold, there was a man
named Zacchaeus, which was the chief
among the publicans, and he was rich.
Luke 19:3 And he sought to see Jesus who
he was; and could not for the press, because
he was little of stature.
8. Luke 19:4 And he ran before,
and climbed up into a sycomore
tree to see him: for he was to
pass that way.
Luke 19:5 And when Jesus
came to the place, he looked up,
and saw him, and said unto him,
Zacchaeus, make haste, and
come down; for to day I must
abide at thy house.
9. James 1:5 If any of you lack
wisdom, let him ask of God, that
giveth to all men liberally, and
upbraideth not; and it shall be
given him.
James 1:6 But let him ask in
faith, nothing wavering. For he
that wavereth is like a wave of the
sea driven with the wind and
tossed.
10. 3) DEEP PRAYER LIFE WITH FASTING CAN
TURN IMPOSSIBLE INTO POSSIBLE FOR GOD’S
GLORY.
ILLUS: DANIEL
Daniel 6:10 Now when Daniel knew
that the writing was signed, he went into
his house; and his windows being open
in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he
kneeled upon his knees three times a
day, and prayed, and gave thanks
before his God, as he did aforetime.
11. Daniel 6:11 Then these men assembled,
and found Daniel praying and making
supplication before his God.
Daniel 6:12 Then they came near, and
spake before the king concerning the king's
decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that
every man that shall ask a petition of any
God or man within thirty days, save of thee,
O king, shall be cast into the den of lions?
The king answered and said, The thing is
true, according to the law of the Medes and
Persians, which altereth not.
12. Daniel 6:13 Then answered they and said
before the king, That Daniel, which is of
the children of the captivity of Judah,
regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree
that thou hast signed, but maketh his
petition three times a day.
Daniel 6:14 Then the king, when he heard
these words, was sore displeased with
himself, and set his heart on Daniel to
deliver him: and he laboured till the going
down of the sun to deliver him.
13. Daniel 6:15 Then these men assembled
unto the king, and said unto the king,
Know, O king, that the law of the Medes
and Persians is, That no decree nor statute
which the king establisheth may be
changed.
Daniel 6:16 Then the king commanded,
and they brought Daniel, and cast him into
the den of lions. Now the king spake and
said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou
servest continually, he will deliver thee.
14. Daniel 6:17 And a stone was brought,
and laid upon the mouth of the den;
and the king sealed it with his own
signet, and with the signet of his lords;
that the purpose might not be changed
concerning Daniel.
Daniel 6:18 Then the king went to his
palace, and passed the night fasting:
neither were instruments of musick
brought before him: and his sleep
went from him.
15. Daniel 6:22 My God hath sent his angel,
and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they
have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him
innocency was found in me; and also
before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.
Daniel 6:23 Then was the king exceeding
glad for him, and commanded that they
should take Daniel up out of the den. So
Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no
manner of hurt was found upon him,
because he believed in his God.
16. Daniel 6:19 Then the king arose
very early in the morning, and went in
haste unto the den of lions.
Daniel 6:20 And when he came to
the den, he cried with a lamentable
voice unto Daniel: and the king spake
and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant
of the living God, is thy God, whom
thou servest continually, able to
deliver thee from the lions?
