Resurrection Garden
The Resurrection Garden is at the front of the Church. Please visit and
day a prayer after Mass. Here you can light a candle or reflect on the
cross as a new beginning with the hope of the resurrection for all who follow in the
way of Christ.
Some prayers are provided for reflection.
Divine Mercy
The Importance of the Image over the Confessional in our Church
In the Image of The Divine Mercy St. Faustina saw, which
is to be venerated on Divine Mercy Sunday, represents the
Risen Christ bringing mercy to the world, Pope John Paul
II said: "Jesus shows His hands and His side [to the
Apostles]. He points, that is, to the wounds of the Passion,
especially the wound in His Heart, the source from which
flows the great wave of mercy poured out on
humanity."From that Heart, Sr. Faustina Kowalska, the blessed whom from
now on we will call a saint, will see two rays of light shining from that Heart
and illuminating the world: ‘The two rays,' Jesus Himself explained to her one
day, ‘represent blood and water' (Diary, 299)."Blood and water! We
immediately think of the testimony given by the Evangelist John, who, when a
soldier on Calvary pierced Christ's side with his spear, sees blood and water
flowing from it (see Jn 19:34). Moreover, if the blood recalls the sacrifice of
the cross and the gift of the Eucharist, the water, in Johannine symbolism,
represents not only Baptism but also the gift of the Holy Spirit".

2. Date For Your Diary
A Parish Mission will take place in our Church for the Year of Mercy
beginning on 9th May and concluding on 13th. Mass will take place each
morning at 10:00am and the Mission evening programme will begin at
7:30pm. Full details of the programme will be available in a special leaflet
later in the month. Please note the dates and let your family and friends know
about this event.
AGM - Lakeview ICA
The A.G.M of Lakeview will be held in Carraroe community centre on
Tuesday 5th April at 8pm. membership fees are due on the night. New
members are welcome to join on the night.
St. Michael’s Family Life Centre, Church Hill, Sligo.
A Bereavement Support Group will begin on the 7th

Church Sunday Collection
Thank you for your contribution. Churches have experiences a drop in
income in the last few years as we are going through a recession.
However costs have not decreased for our Church with such items a
heating, light and insurance. Please consider increasing your payment to the Church
or indeed revisiting your direct debit. We depend on your support.
Youth Events in our Diocese
Encounter - Weekend retreat from Friday 22nd -24th April in Rossnowlagh,
Co.Donegal. Cost €60 full Board. Weekend includes faith, fun and learning to surf

Time for New Friends - New Challenges
Are you interested in becoming a Facilitator with ACCORD Catholic Marriage Care
Service? ACCORD is looking for couples/individuals to train as pre-marriage course

The Spring weather is very evident at the Holy Well. We can
experience the new growth and the flowing water in the middle of
nature. Here God is steeped in the great outdoors.
Divine Mercy Sunday
Did you know that in the 1930’s Our Lord Jesus, Himself
requested through St. Faustina that a very special Feast of Divine
Mercy be established in His Church and solemnly celebrated on
the First Sunday after Easter every year? In the Jubilee Year
2000, after many years of study, Saint Pope John Paul II fulfilled the will of
Christ by establishing this special Feast of Divine Mercy in the Catholic
Church and gave it the name of Divine Mercy Sunday! By God’s Providence,
Saint John Paul II died on this feast in 2005. What is so special about this new
Feast of Divine Mercy you might be asking yourself? It is the promise of the
total forgiveness of all sins and punishment for any soul that would go to
Confession and then receive Jesus in Holy Communion on that very special
Feast of Divine Mercy! Why would Jesus offer us something so great at this
time? Jesus told St. Faustina that she was to prepare the world for His Second
Coming and that He would be pouring out His Mercy in very great abundance
before He comes again as the Just Judge and as the very last hope of salvation.
