1. WHO I AM?
My name is Carlos Cagigas and I am 23. I live in Rubayo with my parents and next to my
grandmother's house. Rubayo is a small village near Pedreña, which allow me doing different
outdoor activities like going for a walk, playing football and basketball, going cycling and
fishing.....
As for my family, my father is a functionary and my mother was a dressmaker until I was born,
when she had to leave her job. I have a sister, María, who is a English teacher in a Secondary
School. She is 29 and she has lived in Chicago, Glasgow, Brussels, London and Normandy, so I
would like to follow in her footsteps. I met my best friends, Pedro, Jesús and Adrian when we
started to play football in the same team five years ago. Since then, we have share unforgettable
moments.
It was in Rubayo where I lived my where I lived my first experience in regulated education. Later
on, I attended high school in Heras and at he same time, I completed my language training by taking
courses at the Official School of Languages.
It was no very easy for me to choose a degree when I finished Bachillerato so, after a failed attempt
at studying Economics, I decided to take a different way. My experience as a football coach in
summer camps helped me find my true vocation: working with children to show them how to
become responsible and tolerant citiziens.
English is becoming more and more important nowadays, so in this class I would learn different
skills to help children to improve their level of this language, and to improve also my own level of
English.
In my free team, I love playing football and going out with my friends and my girlfriend. I play
football for Laredo, where I would like to get promotion to the 2º B division. My first dream was
always to be a proffesional football player but I know that is imposible, so I think that be a teacher
is the olnly thing which can make me happy.
