Important Instructions for First Cut Off List
Admission 2013-2014.
Read the following instructions carefully:-
1 All the candidates who fall within the criterion are required to meet the concerned
Department Teacher-in-Charge (Admission) between 9.00 A.M. to 1.00 P.M. on June 27
2013, June 28, 2013 and June 29, 2013.
2. Candidates seeking admission should bring following Certificates in Original along
with the two sets of self attested photocopy.
(a) 10th
Class Certificate/Marksheet as proof for Date of Birth.
(b) 12th
Class Marksheet.
(c) Provisional Certificate/Transfer Certificate from School.
(d) Character Certificate/School Leaving Certificate
(e) SC/ST Certificate (in the name of candidate) for SC/ST Candidates.
(f) OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate (in the name of candidate) for OBC Candidates and
the Caste should appear/find mention in Central Government List.
(g) Certificate/Proof for PWD Category candidates.
(h) Transfer Certificate from School/College as well as Migration Certificate from
Board/University is required from the Students who have passed Senior Secondary
Examination from outside Delhi.
(i) Affidavits by the Parent and Candidate for Anti Ragging and Sexual Harassment as per
Ordinance XV (C) and XV (D).
(j) 6 Passport Size Photographs.
(k) Receipt of Preliminary Application Form.
3. Admission will not be made if the documents are incomplete.
4. Without original mark sheet admission will not be given to the candidate. Nor photocopy of
the original marksheet will be accepted.
5. No overwriting/cutting/fluid is allowed on the Admission Forms. If such things happen,
candidate has to fill the form afresh.

1) Eligibility qualifications under Category – A subject to
three conditions:
a) 65% in English will be an essential qualification for all
applicants under Category – A.
b) Applicants who have scored 92% or more in History,
will be given a concession of 3% in the aggregate.
c) The eligibility of applicants with subjects from more
than one of the streams (i.e. Science, Commerce,
Humanities/Arts) among their best 4 subjects will be
determined by adjusting their marks in the Non-
Humanities/Arts papers in accordance with the criteria for
the Humanites/Arts. Thus subjects from Science,
Commerce, Vocational (as listed below) streams will each
be subject to a deduction of marks (that being the
difference between the Humanities/Arts and Science and
Commerce streams) from the total marks obtained in that
subject.
The following subjects will be considered with in the
above criteria:
Academic Stream: any one core language Hindi/English,
any one elective language Hindi/English, Maths, Physics,
Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Political Science,
History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy,
Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy.
Vocational Streams: Tourism and Travel, Heritage
Crafts.
2) Eligibility qualifications under Category – B subjects to
three conditions:
a) Each applicant must include one MIL in the four best
subjects for calculating the aggregate, and should have
scored a minimum of 50% marks in English as a Core
subject.
b) Applicants who have scored 92% or more in History,
will be given a concession of 3% in the aggregate.
c) The eligibility of applicants with subjects from more
than one of the streams (i.e. Science, Commerce,
Humanities/Arts) among their best four subjects will be
determined by adjusting their marks in the Non-
Humanities/Arts papers in accordance with the criteria for
the Humanities/Arts. Thus subjects from Science,
Commerce, Vocational (as listed below) streams will each
be subject to a deduction of marks (that being the
difference between the Humanities/Arts and Science
Commerce streams) from the total marks obtained in that
subject.
The following subjects will be considered within the
above criteria:
Academic Stream: any one core language Hindi/English,
any one elective language Hindi/English, Maths, Physics,
Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Political Science,
History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy,

  • 1. Dated: 26/06/2013 Important Instructions for First Cut Off List Admission 2013-2014. Read the following instructions carefully:- 1 All the candidates who fall within the criterion are required to meet the concerned Department Teacher-in-Charge (Admission) between 9.00 A.M. to 1.00 P.M. on June 27 2013, June 28, 2013 and June 29, 2013. 2. Candidates seeking admission should bring following Certificates in Original along with the two sets of self attested photocopy. (a) 10th Class Certificate/Marksheet as proof for Date of Birth. (b) 12th Class Marksheet. (c) Provisional Certificate/Transfer Certificate from School. (d) Character Certificate/School Leaving Certificate (e) SC/ST Certificate (in the name of candidate) for SC/ST Candidates. (f) OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate (in the name of candidate) for OBC Candidates and the Caste should appear/find mention in Central Government List. (g) Certificate/Proof for PWD Category candidates. (h) Transfer Certificate from School/College as well as Migration Certificate from Board/University is required from the Students who have passed Senior Secondary Examination from outside Delhi. (i) Affidavits by the Parent and Candidate for Anti Ragging and Sexual Harassment as per Ordinance XV (C) and XV (D). (j) 6 Passport Size Photographs. (k) Receipt of Preliminary Application Form. 3. Admission will not be made if the documents are incomplete.
  • 2. 4. Without original mark sheet admission will not be given to the candidate. Nor photocopy of the original marksheet will be accepted. 5. No overwriting/cutting/fluid is allowed on the Admission Forms. If such things happen, candidate has to fill the form afresh. 6. General Candidates : Category A : 96.5% in four subjects – one language and any three out of Accountancy, Business Studies/Commerce, Mathematics/Business Math, Economics, Computer Science/Informatics. Category B : 98.5% in four subjects – one language and any three subjects. SC/ST/OBC/PWD : 5% relaxation in above criteria Dr. N.K. Gupta & Dr. Amit Singhal Room No. 1 (First Floor) 2. B.A. (Hons) English General Candidates : Humanities - 92% Science - 94% Commerce - 98% Relaxation for OBC Candidates 3% Relaxation for SC/ST/PWD 5% Additional Criteria : 1. Qualifying language will be English Core/Elective 2. One vocational subject may be considered as an academic subject, with 5% reduction in the marks of that subject. 3. Students with Elective/Additional English will be given a positive weightage of 10% in their overall aggregate. 4. Two language, including English, will be allowed for calculating best 4 aggregate. 5. While calculating the aggregate of best 4 subjects, there will be a differential of 2% in the aggregate for Science and 6% in the case of Commerce in relation to Arts.   • 4. (No relaxation for girls) OBC/SC/ST/PWD Candidates : Less 5% in aggregate of general category i.e. 80% and above in aggregate. Science and Commerce : 88% and above in aggregate and 82% and above in Hindi. Additional Criteria : 1. Hindi as a main subject of 100 marks is compulsory at Sr. Secondary level. 2. Qualifying/Elementary/Additional Hindi at class XII level will not be considered. 3. One vocational subject may be considered with negative weightage of 10% in aggregate. 4. B.A. (Hons.) Sanskrit General Candidates : Category A : 65% and above in aggregate in best four subjects in class XII with 60% in Sanskrit subject in class XII level. Category B : 70% and above in aggregate in best four subjects in class XII with 75% in Sanskrit subject in class X level. For OBC Candidates (Non Creamy Layer) Category A : 60% and above in aggregate in best four subjects in class XII with 58% in Sanskrit subject in class XII level. Category B : 65% and above in aggregate in best four subjects in class XII with 73% in Sanskrit subject in class X level. For SC/ST Candidates Category A : 55% and above in aggregate in best four subjects in class XII with Sanskrit subject in class XII level. Category B : 60% and above in aggregate in best four subjects in class XII with Sanskrit subject in class X level. For PWD Candidates Category A : 55% and above in aggregate in best four subjects in class XII with 60% in Sanskrit subject in class XII level. Commerce - 90% Science - 89% Humanities - 87% For ST Candidates : Commerce - 88% Science - 87% Humanities - 85% For PWD Candidates : Commerce - 88% Science - 87% Humanities - 85% Additional Criteria for General Category : 1. At the most one vocational subject will be included in the best four. The list is : Mechanical/Engineering Drawing, Art, Fine Arts, Painting, Music, Dance, Needle-Work & Dress-Making, Cookery, Home Science, Physical Education, Entrepreneurship, Agriculture, Environmental Studies, Secretarial Practice, Insurance, Marketing and similar vocational subjects. 2. Further, a deduction of 10% points will be made in the marks obtained in these papers while calculating the percentage of the best of four subjects. 6. B.A. (Hons.) History General Candidates : Category A : Science - 94% Commerce - 94% Humanities - 90% Category B : Science - 96% Commerce - 96% Humanities - 92% For OBC Candidates : Science - 92% Commerce - 92% Humanities - 88% For SC Candidates : Science - 88% Commerce - 88% Humanities - 84% For ST Candidates : Science - 90% Commerce - 90% Humanities - 86% For PWD Candidates : Science - 86% Commerce - 86% Humanities - 82% Additional Criteria for General Category : Dr. (Ms) Monika Saxena & Dr. Vikas Verma Room No. 28 (Ground Floor)
  • 6. 1) Eligibility qualifications under Category – A subject to three conditions: a) 65% in English will be an essential qualification for all applicants under Category – A. b) Applicants who have scored 92% or more in History, will be given a concession of 3% in the aggregate. c) The eligibility of applicants with subjects from more than one of the streams (i.e. Science, Commerce, Humanities/Arts) among their best 4 subjects will be determined by adjusting their marks in the Non- Humanities/Arts papers in accordance with the criteria for the Humanites/Arts. Thus subjects from Science, Commerce, Vocational (as listed below) streams will each be subject to a deduction of marks (that being the difference between the Humanities/Arts and Science and Commerce streams) from the total marks obtained in that subject. The following subjects will be considered with in the above criteria: Academic Stream: any one core language Hindi/English, any one elective language Hindi/English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy. Vocational Streams: Tourism and Travel, Heritage Crafts. 2) Eligibility qualifications under Category – B subjects to three conditions: a) Each applicant must include one MIL in the four best subjects for calculating the aggregate, and should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in English as a Core subject. b) Applicants who have scored 92% or more in History, will be given a concession of 3% in the aggregate. c) The eligibility of applicants with subjects from more than one of the streams (i.e. Science, Commerce, Humanities/Arts) among their best four subjects will be determined by adjusting their marks in the Non- Humanities/Arts papers in accordance with the criteria for the Humanities/Arts.
