2. WHO WE ARE
Our vision is to build global awareness of an
emerging design sensibility originating from the
Indian Subcontinent.
Our mission is to become the definitive
reference and e-commerce destination for
avant-garde independent designers.
Our principles are to lead and encourage
designers to manufacture ethically and
profitably while ensuring that artisans earn a
sustainable living.
Our goal is to celebrate enduring design
objects that inspire for a lifetime rather than
disposable fashion.
Our focus is to provide shopping experience
with a social conscience.
3. ETHICAL
FASHION
In Bangladesh, the Rana Plaza garment
factory
disaster last year inspired us to integrate
sustainability at the heart of our business
practices.
We aim to build a fashion business that is
sustainable,
ethical and profitable with improved
transparency
and accountability.
Value chains will be improved through
industry
collaboration and more effective monitoring
and purchasing practices.
4. We envision that INDELUST will become
a veritable reference and commerce
Destination for independent avant-garde
designers in the Indian sub-continet.
BUSINESS CONCEPT
Our vision stems from the desire to showcase a
minimal, refined and versatile style, removed
from the ostentatious and ornate aesthetic
the East is so well known for.
10. The Nest Approach
We have partnered with NEST to help us execute on our principles. Nest is an international NGO dedicated to training and building
artisan business in developing countries like India, Indonesia, Swaziland and Peru.
Their mission is to align the interests of local designers and artisans to produce ethically sourced goods. Each supplier will have to
sign and comply with a Code of Ethics created by NEST and INDELUST.
This would include an audit of the state of production, facilities and management of our suppliers who work with more than 10
artisans.
Our suppliers would thereby join international brands like Maiyet, ABC Home and Christian Dior.

PARTNERSHIP
