2. About Bauer media
The media company i have chosen
to distribute my media product is
bauer, as it is one of Europe’s
largest privately owned publishing
group. it has a worldwide base
owning 300 magazine titles,
operating in 15 countries
worldwide. Thus making Bauer a
likely candidate.
4. Why Bauer Media?
Bauer Media is a multi-platform UK-based media Group consisting of many
companies collected around two main divisions – Magazines and Radio - this
means that they are widely recognised and rewarded as being industry
innovators. On the basis of reputation i believe it would be beneficial to go with
Bauer as they have a strong structural organisational base. Meaning they have
the designing quality critique that i desire.
My design work has also been based up kerrang and Q, Bauer retains a
similar style to me and with making the decision to go with Bauer they
would have a lot to offer in the design aspect. This is key to getting my
product right. Also Bauer have large operations, by going to Bauer will
insure my product will be marketed well and promoted in the right area so
it get’s to my target audience.
5. Why my magazine?
my magazine is similar to that of Bauer, for example
“kerrang” and q offer a similar target audience, i believe this
will provide even more competition within the business. It
would also be easier for my product to be market if their
are already similar existing products on the market.
My design work will also fit in with Bauer as q boasts to
simplicity in design, colour schemes which create
outstanding effect. My magazine also balances text and
images giving it an solid structure.
