Since 1999, Jacksonville resident Bryan Bartlett has served as senior vice president at Newmark Grubb Phoenix Realty Group. 2.  Since 1999, Jacksonville resident Bryan Bartlett

sharing his expertise in real estate consulting with
his clients, Bryan Bartlett is active in the
community, including serving on the board of the
Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens.
More than just a place for the public to view and
learn about wild animals, the Jacksonville Zoo is
dedicated to saving endangered species. These
efforts include building a critical care center for
manatees, the first ever in northeast Florida.

3.  In recent years, manatees rescued in the area
have been moved to care centers in other parts of
Florida because there was no place to give them
the necessary care locally. With the new care
center, five to six manatees will be able to receive
medical care and housing until they are healthy
enough to return to the wild. The $2.1 million
center, which was funded by generous private
donors and a grant from the State of Florida, is
scheduled to open in the winter of 2016/2017. The
center will offer periodic viewings of manatees, as
well as behind-the-scenes tours.
