1000g = 1kg
Therefore, 100g = 0.1 kg
Because it takes 10 100g to reach 1 kg!

Mass is measured with all types of SCALES!
Small, medium and big scales or even a balance scale
For example:
a kitchen scale measures the weight of little things like a cube of sugar

IMPORTANCE?
• To decide between which items are MORE or LESS heavy than
each other or if they’re the same.
• It helps you measure the weight of things.
• Examples are: Proportions of ingredients when making food.
Whether you can lift something yourself or if you need help.
Whether or not you’re within the weight required to bring your
luggage on the plane. Which bag to chose for you post office
parcel.
