15. The journey begins……..and we arrive at the first of our lodgings after a hard ride and a trip to the seaside…

16. Day two begins well, although by early afternoon one of the horses became ill and eventually was towed away, Stacey returned home. We continued our journey, our spirits dampened by the loss of our missing companion.

17. We arrive at the “Prancing Pony” (Formule1 St. Etienne) a deadly place of cut throats, pirates and thieves, a place not to be trusted…the only option is to mount our trusty steeds again and ride to the nearest Ibis hotel, not sure who found it, but well done.

19. But, we were in for another treat…the Gorge and the ride along the river…

21. During the ride we encountered a strange warning sign…

22. After some seriously fast return night riding we made it safely back to the hotel for a good nights sleep. The next day we packed up again, ready to begin the return journey home.

23. After a good meal and 2 nd breakfast, we leave for the long ride to the ferry…

24. We were attacked by the dark lords Ringwraiths, cleverly disguised in a Chrysler estate car, after a duel or two they made a run for it…

25. We made it safely back to Calais and the ferry for the return back to the Shires of England.
