On September 25th 2015, the United Nations adopted 17 sustainable development goals to end poverty, protect the environment, and ensure prosperity for all nations by 2030. The goals include specific targets for countries, businesses, organizations, and individuals to work towards over the next 15 years through coordinated global efforts. Reaching the ambitious 2030 goals will require participation and cooperation from governments, the private sector, civil society, and citizens worldwide.
