OBJECTIVE CORRELATIVE
WRITE A SCENE CENTERED AROUND FOOD: PREPARING,
COOKING, OR EATING.
DESCRIPTION
Be precise, specific, and concrete with your details. The purpose here is
to use meaningful, unique details that reveal characters and
relationships. Avoid simply listing details that are more or less universal,
or can be assumed; for example, don’t detail how a person boils water.
Never move inside a person’s mind—every detail must be observable
by the senses. Every detail must be contemporary—no flashback;
everything takes place during the same (short) time frame.
REQUIREMENTS
(1) No interiority
No: think, feel,know, wonder,believe, wish,want,desire,fear…
(2) 250-300 words
Include word count at bottom
(3) At least one concrete detail from each of the five senses

“Mom grilled the zucchini;” not “The zucchini was grilled by Mom.”
