13. This church that was built
with lime and cement will
surely have you glancing twice
when you pass by. The uneven
tone and the intricately
designed arches and
sculptures of the facade are
evidence that it was built in a
different era here in the
Philippines. Moss and tiny
plants growing into its walls
only added to the charm of
this church. The present
church is the fourth that was
constructed in this area, with
the first three ruined in fire.
It was completed in 1738.
14. S trengths : The good climate that make Lucban the
summer capital in Quezon as the tourists bound the
attractions capability. It is different escapade when it comes
to religious entity because of well-known Kamay Ni Hesus
that is rarely found.
W eaknesses : In general, some of the unappealing
flaws is the Lucban area is the limited slots of roads or
small passages in that small city. Because of the old
churches it can’t be maintain due to the Spanish era
structure and can be modernized soon.
15. O pportunities: Because of the Spanish influenced
trade mark of Lucban many tourist are willing to take a
plunge on it’s surroundings like some of it’s private
ancestral houses that is located in Lucban. Otherwise, it is
a great impact on making Lucban as also a spiritual
municipality that aim to conduct solemnity.
T hreats : If it’s own municipality cannot maintain the
religious view of the churches it can be abandoned in time
purpose. It’s history and accommodating resemblance from
the past is cognitive if it’s not observed properly it will
stoked in muteness. The people or tourist will create a bad
feedback about it.
16. ASSESSMENT AND RECOMMENDATION
Lucban Quezon is widely known in co-existence of Pahiyas
Festival during May it is a culture that involves several
events associated by thousands of tourist all over the
country as their tourism industry ranges in the bigger scale
therefore the Lucban officials should have more ideas
regarding social events to gather more invites.
One of the oldest church here in Quezon is the St. Louis
Church but it’s structure must signify it’s character of
ancestry and should be constructed to maintain it’s high
omniscient tone which includes walls and entrance gate.
Moreover, regarding the transportation on how to get there,
in commuting proper there should be other modes other
than of jeep to please the visitors while they’re taking a
glimpse of the town.
17. Toinform some of the clients there should
be a suggested plan of guide slip that will
serve as a reference about the famous food
chain, cultural spots, historical places and
allowing them to have a short knowledge
when it comes to the place they are willing
to strike.
18. In about 30 minute ride from Lucban town you will reach this famous religious
attraction. I wasn’t really excited about going there at first and making our
heritage program but it is another story when I set foot in Kamay Ni Hesus. It’s
definitely not my first time to see long flight of stairs leading to the top of the hill
where gigantic image of Jesus Christ is erected. What I don’t expect is the nature
feel of the place because I’m a hardcore nature lover plus vicinity of the
churches. It makes someone in the mood for deeper spirituality. Our visit may
have been ephemeral but the church’s enigma transcend beyond our memories.

Our trip to Lucban is half amazing and half challenging because, at the first
place, we really don’t have the idea where in Lucban are we going. We don’t
know who to ask and we end up asking each other which obviously none of us
knows where to go first. But of course, we still managed to get our feet in the
municipal hall wherein another challenge awaits which is to face and pull a nerve
to ask the municipality officials and staffs but it’s fun actually. It’s amazing
because aside from the beautiful sceneries along with it’s atmospheric breeze.
It’s people are hospitable Though it’s pretty tiring we still enjoyed the tour. I had a
full blast package. –Cattleya Cordero
19. Our tour is a bit tiring but fun. We faced municipal staffs which is challenging
for students like us. But the end of the day we managed to finish what we
came for in Lucban. It’s one of the compulsory travel I looked forward
because of it’s unique locality that engaged by so many tourist and
residences. I personally like the experience having great memories with
peers and the people in Lucban. –Kyoko Kobayashi
I learned to interact with people there and I knew the history of the town and
the fact that Lucban’s name derived from pomelo fruit and the famous food
trend there are longganisang lucban and pansit habhab and I found out that
spring festival celebrated every 15th of may in honour of the patron saint of
farmers. All in all, it was a great experience even if it’s just one day of fun and
learning. –Marianne Precilla
Travelling from one place to another is one of my favourite activity so when I
heard about our mini tour in Lucban regarding our heritage program, it seems
it’s another day to remember. It’s a matter of teamwork and unity in this kind
of arrangement. All of us are willing to experience other place with great
sceneries and spots. I had a real good time. –Ibeya Gayle Oriondo
20. Since I’m not that familiar in such place like Lucban I find it
difficult to suggest such things like where to go and stuffs like
that. I enjoy taking a look in the popular Jesus Christ shrine that
is erected in the hill. Aside from visiting places and observing
their customs I simply enjoy walking in stiffs road and embracing
the good climate there. –Rennika Panganiban
