This document discusses the writing process and provides guidance on how to write effectively. It begins by asking readers to reflect on when and why they write in their native language. It then outlines the typical steps in the writing process - getting ideas, organizing ideas, writing a draft, revising, and editing. Readers are asked to order these steps correctly and consider which steps they use for different types of writing. The purpose is to demonstrate that effective writing involves a process of preparation, drafting, and refinement in order to produce high-quality written work.

THE WRITING PROCESS
Most people agree that writing well is difficult in any language. But you can make
writing easier if you use the writing process. In any process, you do steps in a
certain order. First, you do one thing. Then, you do another thing, and after that,
you do something else. Writing also follows a process. Good writers follow the
steps of the writing process when they write.
Look at these pictures. They show the steps that good writers use when they write a
paragraph or short composition, but they are not in the correct order. Number the
pictures to show the correct order.
