4. Taiwan Sushiro is a sushi restaurant in Taiwan. It was recently in
news for a weird promotional campaign. The temporary promotional
deal offered free all-you-can-eat sushi to the eligible customer and
upto five friends. The promotion prompted an unexpected craze that
was dubbed "salmon chaos" on social media and by local news
outlets. However, the Taiwanese government was seemingly
unamused, and even ministers urged people to stop wasting officials'
time.
Rarely anyone would have been eligible for the promotional deal
but the attraction of it prompted people to become eligible resulting
in chaos for government officials.

17. X is a shadow library website that provides free access to research
papers and books, by bypassing publishers' paywalls in various ways. It
was founded by Alexandra Elbakyan in 2011 in Kazakhstan. It is quite
popular among researchers and have earned the tag - ‘The Pirate Bay of
Science’. Since its launch, it has attracted various lawsuits from different
governments including the recent court case in India.
Elbakyan is often dubbed as the ‘successor’ of Y who himself has a
legacy of Internet Freedom Activism, Open Access etc. He himself
attracted multiple lawsuits, went to jail, organized movements for this
cause. Documentaries - ‘Internet’s Own Boy’ and ‘Killswitch’ are based
on his life. He committed suicide at the age of 26.
