2. If you had an opportunity to create/start whatever you wanted and were given 1
million dollars and six months,
what would this thing be and how would you go about making it happen?
3. This is my biggest problem
Some days I go from class to an
internship to volunteering to work
and I always have twenty minuets
here or there that I could use for
studying, but I can’t possibly carry all
of my book, articles, and journals.
Morever....
5. But, I live here
It is extremely frustrating to land in sunny Los Angeles only to realize
the book you need for your very last final was left on your nightstand
in Boston.
6. Thus, I would use 1 million dollars and six months to create
textbook software for the tablets.
8. But as a college students we can’t waste money on a one
trick pony. Tablets, like the iPad, can be used for work and
play, thus making them the more efficient for the average
college student’s life.
10. • Mobility- With all texts being consolidated into one piece of equipment, it
would be possible for students to study for any one of their classes at any time.
They wouldn't have to worry about missing an article or misplacing the one book
they need.
• Greener studying- Obviously, if we eliminated the use of paper we would
be saving thousands upon thousands of tree per year.
• Interactive Studying- If we could synthesize textbooks into tablets or
computers we could add a layer of interaction that is rarely seen in the classroom.
Creating a better user experience with classroom content is key to engaging the
next generation.
11. I’d start with this guy
This is my friend Ken. He’s a game developer and knows
everything about tailoring the user experience and
optimizing user interface.
12. Then I’d call these guys
These are my friends at MIT and they are amazing
programmers, plus they don’t mind being paid with home
made dinners....MIT doesn’t have a meal plan.
