You are invited to join us for the second National Women in Project Management (WiPM) Conference,
"Driving the Future", sponsored by BAE Systems and organised by the Association for Project
Management. The agenda is full of stimulating talks and interactive debate designed to facilitate
knowledge-sharing and fresh insights for attendees. Delegates will leave the conference armed with new
ideas for progressing their own careers and personal development but also bursting with enthusiasm to
promote the profession and encourage a new generation of project managers.
The objectives of the conference are:
• Reinforce the importance of women in project management
• Highlight the importance of women’s contribution to the economy through practical examples
• Provide opportunities for delegates to hear from leading professionals and to be inspired to drive the future in
their own careers.
• Provide perspectives on what to ask of employers improve project delivery
• Provide food for thought for delegates to help them drive their own objectives and achieve their career goals
Harriet Minter
the editor of the Guardian’s Women in Leadership section. Harriet writes extensively on a
variety of issues relating to women and the workplace and has interviewed a range of
leading women from MPs to entrepreneurs and celebrities. Prior to her current role she
worked as a commissioning editor for a range of sections on the Guardian and also ran
the engagement and social media strategy for the Guardian’s Professional Networks.
Harriet is a regular speaker on women’s rights, the future of work and digital media.
Outside of work her passions include high heels and big boats - although not together.
Amanda Clack
who will become the global President at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
(RICS) next year. Amanda is a partner at PwC (but is currently on gardening leave before
joining EY as a Partner from 1st August). Whilst at PwC where she led on Property, Real
Estate and Infrastructure for Consulting. Specialising in Portfolio management, Amanda
set up the Programme and Project Management Competency at PwC where she was
Head of Profession for Programme and Project Management. Amanda led on two of the
leading PwC global reports for PPM covering 3025 people in 110 countries. She has also
been a Mission Critical Programme Engagement Director for the Prime Ministers Special
Delivery Unit. Amanda was one of the founding members for the Women in Project
Management Specific Interest Group, having held numerous roles in APM, and winning
the SIG coordinators award in 1995. In addition, Amanda is an Associate School
Governor and gives much time to the Arts, especially music.
