2. Introduction
◦ I organised a focus group to gain an idea of a suitable name for my music magazine. I asked
people of the same age as my target audience (16-18) and this profited with some feedback.
The names that I put forward for discussion were the following:
◦ Beat
◦ Club
◦ Ibiza
◦ Beach
3. Results
To conclude, from carrying out this focus group research, I have opted for "Ibiza" to be the
masthead. This option proved to be the most suitable as it represents Dance/Trance music as the
popular holiday destination is known as the heart of the genre. The audience will immediately
realise that this particular music magazine is of the Dance/Trance genre which is why this name
will be chosen for the masthead of my magazine.
