2. INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENT
ACCIDENT - An accident is an unplanned and
uncontrolled event which cause or is likely to cause an
injury.
 An industrial accident is a sudden and unpredictable
factor which results in injuries and lot of to the human
being as well as to the industry.
 In today’s competitive atmosphere every organization
having a number of problems and one of the such
problem is INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENTS

3. CAUSES OF INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENTS
 Lifting- In this process the product or ore taken by the
help of machinery or by man power.
 Fatigue - Failing to take a break is another common cause
of accidents.
 Dehydration- Not staying hydrated can also bring about
disastrous consequences.
 Poor Lighting - Inadequate lighting is responsible for a
number of accidents each year.
 Hazardous Materials - Improper handling of hazardous
materials or not wearing personal protective equipment
(PPE) is another common cause of accidents in the
workplace.

affects the human body in every facet imaginable.

co-workers has become all too common.

 Aware the worker to be hydrated and supply them fresh
water
 Lifting machine or cart instead of lifting by workers.
 Proper lightening in the organization.
 Proper safety measurement in case of working with
hazardous material.
 Training the worker about stress release.
 Keep proper co ordination among the workers in the
work place.
 Proper supervision on each and every employee specially
on the employees working with big and small machines

6. BIOLOGICAL DISASTER
Biological disasters define the devastating
effects caused by an enormous spread of a
certain kind of living organism – that may
the spread a disease, virus, or an epidemic.
Biological disasters can also be simply, a
sudden growth in the population of a
certain kind of plants or animals,
 e.g., a locust plague.

community or area.
Ex: Cholera.
 Pandemic Level: Biological disaster effect a
much large region, sometime spanning

practitioners.
 Communication of surveillance information to public
health authorities.
 Epidemiological analysis of the surveillance data.
 Delivery of appropriate medical treatment and public
health measures.
 Safe Water supply and proper maintenance of sewage

 Outdoor fogging and control of vectors by regular
spraying of insecticides.
 Keeping a watch on the rodent population.
