What is dynamic semantics? Can you please explain the many kinds of dynamic semantics. How
can we use the different dynamic semantics to solve and compute any programming problem.
Solution
Dynamic semantics is a perspective on natural language semantics that emphasizes the growth of
information in time.
Types of semantics:
a) Static semantics:
A semantic net is a network of concepts linked by relations. The Web is a network of pages, each
containing text, pictures, other media types, and links to other Web pages.
b) dynamic semantics :
In addition to the static semantics of Web pages, links, and Web markup, there is also what we
call dynamic semantics.
• Is represented procedurally:
It can be computed by programs running on the client or server side, based on immediate
interactive user input.
Web agents make use of dynamic semantics :
The current revolution is the growing popularity of intelligent agents on the Web. These are the
programs that act as assistants to the user in the interface. They can track user interests, explore
the Web proactively, learn through interacting with the user, provide personalized data and
services.
