Sowemimo became a member of the Royal

1988. In 2000, Adolphus advanced to the
status of Fellow of the Royal College of
Obstetricians and Gynecologists (UK).

that, he accepted a yearlong internship at the
University College Hospital Ibadan. While
working at the University College hospital, he
was exposed to a number of different medical
fields, including pediatrics and general
surgery. Following which, he transferred to
the UK to pursue his postgraduate training in
OB/GYN at institutions such as the Tameside
General Hospital in Ashton-under-Lyne as
well as the City General Hospital in Carlisle.
