1. Robert E. Aden, MD, is a Miami-based physician
who boasts more than 20 years experience. With
a specialty in endocrinology, internal medicine,
and diabetes, Dr. Aden holds certifications with
the American Board of Internal Medicine and with
their Endocrinology and Metabolism division.
Additional procedural certifications held by Robert
E. Aden, MD, include thyroid ultrasound and
ultrasound guided, fine needle aspiration, and
bone densitometry.
2. ● Dr. Robert Aden began his career as an attending
physician at Mount Sinai Medical Center of New
York City and as a clinical instructor at Mount Sinai
School of Medicine.
● He went on to serve as a clinical assistant professor
at New York University Medical Center, and spent
the next several years as an attending physician at
New York’s Bellevue Hospital and the Veterans’
Affairs Medical Center.
● Following his time in New York, Dr. Aden
established his practice in Miami and is currently
affiliated with South Miami Hospital and Baptist
Hospital of Miami.
3. ● Dr. Robert Aden earned his bachelor’s degree in
politics and public affairs from the University of
Miami in 1990.
● Upon graduation, he enrolled in the Sackler School
of Medicine at Tel Aviv University, earning his
doctorate degree in 1994.
● Dr. Aden then returned to the United States to begin
his internship and residency in internal medicine at
New York’s Jacobi Medical Center, followed by a
fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and
metabolism which he completed at
New York University Medical Center in 1999.
4. ● Board certified in endocrinology and internal
medicine, Dr. Aden is a member of the Endocrine
Society, American Association of Clinical
Endocrinologists, and the American Diabetes
Association.
● He holds licenses with the State of New York, State
of Florida, and the Drug Enforcement
Administration.
