EDUCATION GOALS
1) Finishing coursework ahead of internship:
I intend to have finished all my course work and project
before I go for internship. This will enable me effectively focus
all my energies on my internship and quickly acquire hands on
skills. This will take me two semesters.
11. 2) Improving my computer skills
I plan to exclusively utilize my academic training in
interdisciplinary courses to increase my chances of job
absorption.
3) Improving my communication skills.
I will improve my communication skills within the next one
year. Since my field of study is marketing, I have to improve
my oral skills as most of the times; I will be required to engage
people during my fieldwork. This skill will be my pedestal for
M.S Degree in marketing. This course of action will
successfully propel my career to be the leading marketer.
MY TIME MANAGEMENT PLAN
· The first thing I will do is make a structure. To start with, I
will start with a study calendar. I will then designate study time
for each course work.
· I will develop a continuous process of studying. I will adopt
and incorporate the following methods:
· Preview chapters to be covered in class before lecture
time.(This will include creating chapter maps)
· I will review and process class notes as soon after class as
quickly as possible.
· Adopt intense study sessions.SMART GOALS
· Attending scheduled workshops and webinars, workshops and
conferences. This should be before the end of the second
semester.
· Learning about new software’s and database management. To
learn these new skills effectively, I will take an advanced
database course (This will take about one month)
· Learn how to make oral presentations during discussion
groups and syndicate. This will help me gain confidence and
develop the art of public speaking.
12. CONCLUSION
One of the biggest benefits of achieving my education goal is
that it will help me in transitioning. Graduating well will enable
me to transit seamless from the classroom into the job market.
Another very important aspect which will be as a result of
achieving my education goals is that I will be able to develop
my soft skills. This will come in handy as it will help prepare
me for the job market, including job interviews.
However there are some road blocks in achieving my education
goal. The biggest challenge is crush courses. This will be a big
a headache as I try to balance my studies given the time
constraints. At my disposal however I have some resources that
will work to my advantage in achieving my education goals.
The advanced school infrastructure will come in handy, this
include: the free internet, library materials and college
resources. The lecturers on the other hand will help greatly as
well as attending conferences and webinars.
