From ice hockey and bustling metropolises to skiing and miles of untamed wilderness, Canada has so much to offer. Below is a look at several places that I tell anyone who visits to see. -Anne Strebinger
3. Vancouver
Vancouver’s attractions include lively pubs
where you can join in conversations with locals
or stroll in sprawling parks that let you get your
fill of fresh air. The Capilano Suspension
Bridge offers a great photo opportunity.
5. Montreal
Considered Canada’s cultural capital, Montreal
is a French-speaking destination with loads of
charm. Stroll through the Plateau Mont-Royal
district and stop in some of the boutique shops
and cafés. Also, if you’re a fan of world-class
sports, make your way to Olympic Park.
7. Toronto
Thanks to its bustling atmosphere and broad
selection of things to do, some people say
Toronto is like New York City, but cleaner. If
heights don’t frighten you, visit the CN Tower
to admire the city below. This skyscraper is the
Western Hemisphere’s tallest freestanding
structure.
9. Whistler
If you have a tendency to make snow-covered
ground your playground, Whistler, British
Columbia will seem like paradise. Easily
accessible from Vancouver, this destination
offers excellent skiing and snowboarding
opportunities. However, even if you’re there in
the summer, activities like golf and hiking can
easily fill a schedule.
11. Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls offers an undeniable reminder of
how powerful Mother Nature can be. Whether
you prefer to watch the water crashing down
from a distance or want to don a raincoat and
venture close enough to get drenched, this
landmark is one of Canada’s many visual
spectacles.
