Milk has long been used for drinking, baking, butter and cheese production, and giving to sick children. In the 1960s, it was commonly used in custards, rice pudding, and bread and butter pudding. Milk remains an important source of nutrients today. Similarly, Lucozade was once thought to have healing properties and was often given to sick people visiting the hospital. While originally marketed as a medicine, Lucozade is now commonly consumed as a soft drink.
