Carmen B. Patti began his career delivering the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin as a newspaper boy at age 9 to the same building that now houses his law office on the 44th floor. Despite this early exposure, Patti did not initially plan to become a lawyer, instead studying engineering. After realizing many of his managers had law degrees, Patti attended law school at night while working. He developed a passion for patent law and had a long career as in-house counsel before opening his own intellectual property law firm. Patti credits his experience as in-house counsel with understanding his clients' business needs.
