UTTAR PRADESH Pharmacy Council is a statutory body constituted by the Government of Uttar Pradesh under the provisions of the Pharmacy Act 1948, in the year 1956 through UP Govt GAZETE notification. The main objective of the UP Pharmacy Council is to regulate the practice of pharmacy in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
The prime function of the Uttar Pradesh Pharmacy Council is to grant registration to the eligible pharmacists possessing requisite qualification as per the provisions of section 32(2) of the Pharmacy Act and to enforce the necessary provisions of the Pharmacy Act 1948.

4. The profession of pharmacy is noble in its ideals and pious in its character. Apart from being a career for earning
livelihood it has inherent in it the attitude of service and sacrifice in the interests of the suffering humanity.
In handling, selling, distributing, compounding and dispensing
medical substances including poisons and potent drugs a pharmacist is, in collaboration with medical men and
others, charged with the onerous responsibility of safeguarding the health of people, as such he has to uphold the
interests of his patrons above all things.
The lofty ideals set up by Charka, the ancient Philosopher Physician and Pharmacist in his renunciation :
“Even if your own life be in danger you should not betray or neglect the interests of your patients” should
be fondly cherished by all Pharmacist.

7. Documents Required: 2 sets of Xerox
1) 10th & 12th result along with the certificate (result cum certificate is also acceptable).
2) B.Pharm (all year results along with degree)
* Do not laminate your mark sheets and degree as you will need an authorized signature from the registrar on the
back of each certificate. If your certificates are already laminated then you can ask any local xerox shop owner to
remove it, and also you can get it done on the ground floor of PCI, but they will charge you 20-30 Rs per
certificate, better do it before coming here or you can also do it manually by a hair dryer (Refer below picture for
reference).
8. 3) PCI approval of your college: This document you can get from your college authority or from an
online site (http://www.pci.nic.in/For_Students.html). There is the third option also available, same as above point, you
can get it from Xerox shop on the ground floor of PCI office.
*you need this document to show the official that your college is approved to conduct pharmacy programme and also the
complete address of college is mentioned in the list which should be same on the form submitted by you, which I will
explain in the further blog.
4) 6 passport sized recent photographs to attach to your file and one photograph to stick to your from.
5) Money charges: 50 Rs to get file and 500 on complete verification and approval.
6) Aadhar card 2 copy, if you have passed from U.P or if you have passed from another state, then you will need recent
domicile (Nivas Pramad Patra issued within 6 months).
For D. Pharm students
Required 500 hours or 30 days of training certificate in any of the pharmaceutical manufacturing company or pharmacist
trainee certificate in any of the authorized medical store.
10. Address: Machchhi Bhavan, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh 226003
By Train route: Get down at Charbagh railway station, you can find hotels nearby at cheap cost. Rs 300 for 5
hours stay to 1000 Rs for 24 hour stay.
From there you can ask any of auto driver for Machchhi Bhawan or Chowk chauraha, which is around 5 km
from there and cost 70 -100 Rs if reserved or you can take local auto for shorter distance, but need to change
twice, which will cost around 20 Rs.
By Bus route: If you have reached Lucknow by bus, then you will get down neat transport nagar, parking8, 9
or 10. From there you can take e rickshaw for transport nagar metro, you can find good stay near metro too.
From metro buy ticket for 30 Rs to Charbagh metro and then follow above steps.
Timing of office:
Official time: 09:00 am, BUT it opens after 11 am. No need to hurry, they can process 100 application in just 4
hours. Only advantage in reaching by 9:00 am, your work will get donor by 12: 30 pm, because registrar comes
after 12 or 1 pm sometimes.
* No need to call to PCI, they won’t pickup. If you need any help, comment on this slide and I will try to resolve
your issue.
12. The first form what you will receive will be registration form which would be green in colour.
On one side you have to write down all you personal information along with your qualifications and passed out
year.
On the other side, first line write fees of Rs 500, and then the date in next blank
Stick your photo on top right and sign the document.
There is one line which you have write where you have signed. Remember it should be in top half of document,
below section is for office use only.
“yadi mere avedan patra me koi bhi kami payi gayi to mera avedan patra nirastha kar diya jayega’’
Write above line in Hindi.
Now come to half down portion of page which is for official use, but then also fill all column if you don’t wasn’t
registrar to get angry. (Fill information which is known to you)
13. • Submit the form and you will receive the file (which will cost you 50Rs),
• While submitting the file, you have to keep 2 xerox copies of all document ready, rest thing the person
assigned there will tell you.
• Instructions.
• Align all documents in a well mannered pattern and write down document number on top on each
document and sign it. **remember the counting starts from last page to first.
• E.g.: On last page write 1 in circle and sign it anywhere visible easily.
• From here on you can easily fill all documents.
• Once you have compiled all xerox copies along with the front page where you have to mention number of
pages and along with 2 envelope where your college address should be clearly mentioned as available on
online site.
• As soon as you are done with compilation, immediately go to the same room where you received the file,
there you will observe a window, where you have to submit the file along with original document. Once it is
checked and sealed. Your job is done.
• On your left side, you will find one more counter where you have to submit the file finally and you will
receive the receipt which contain you registration date and number which will be used to follow-up in
future.
15. Increase chances of acceptance
• Carry clear xerox copies where your photo or marks are clearly visible.
Do not think, that you can convince the Registrar.
• Do not argue with registrar, let him speak, if possible try to be humble.
• Carry 3 xerox copies of each and every documents mentioned earlier,
along with your Aadhar card/ voter id card.
• If you have done B.Pharm from outside Uttar Pradesh, carry Nirvachan
pramad patra/ bonafide certificate along with you with 3 copies.
• Do not carry laminated documents, follow the steps described
previously.
17. • Contact your college administration to confirm that if they have received
any post from PCI U.P .
• Once, college confirm that they have received the post and replied on same,
then you can follow-up with PCI.
• To follow-up, try to take number of person in documentation department
because number provided online will not be answered.
• Be smart while follow-up and do not indulge in any corruption. Do not
promote such activities.
