Grassroots: A Sims 3 EPIC: Chapter 3.3
1.
2. Before I pass the torch to Marie, I wanted to show off the house tour
that I’ve forgotten to do for the last…9 chapters. All the rooms in the
house are for every Sim who was born, moved in and was illegally
created via time machine. So we have 11 rooms by generation 4/5 .
I removed one because I had 12, my OCD said I had to make an
even number but I fought it. Also technically I can add it back…you’ll
see why soon enough.
3. Here on the ground floor we have three bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and foyer; the
first six rooms are down here. I stopped the snow after these first few shots because
it was bugging me. The foyer has the washer and dryer now that Li Sung has topped
Science we can get the good quality washer and have a dryer. Jet is taking care of the
never ending laundry and he’s hanging around nearly 10 days past my set life span…I
expect him to join his dear Rena soon.*spoilers*
4. Upstairs has two more bedrooms and a larger bathroom my OCD is hating the large
space with the uneven spacing of the lights. *rage* Here is where they skill using
the books because there’s no space downstairs. It also has the second rocking chair
because Temecula and Medina were fighting over the one in the nursery. Rena has
since claimed the nursery rocker as hers though just to spite her parents.
5. In the MASSIVE backyard there is the little Skilling Shack. Celia has her inventing
table here, Jet’s easel is here, and the two sculpting turn tables for Celia and Alfred.
NOT technically part of the main house so no rule about not having a Skilling Shack.
There’s a covered walkway from the main house with a flat roof to sort of protect
from the weather. I wanted to make it all pretty with lots of plants but it’s winter and
I haven’t done it yet. Also Li Sung’s telescope is out here too.
6. And in the other part of the MASSIVE backyard is the barn and silo because it’s
awesome and I love the barn and silo. The alchemy table is here for Alfred because
he’s glitched and can’t get a regular job so I blow my fourth gen requirements for the
spouse…he’s in the Alchemy self employed career. He is supposed to take Sports or
Acting since Marie is in the Nectarology career. Because I’ve tried to add the Plumbob
Studios to Moonlight Falls but it will not let me. >_<
7. Upstairs in the barn silo is Jet’s space rock chopping blocks, another
easel and Celia’s Time Machine. I’ve gotten almost all the gemstones
from the space rock chopping because I can’t play Sims 3 without
my gemstones and rocks. It’s not happening without them…truth.
8. And under the barn silo is Marie’s Nectar machine and the Culinary reward fridge. I
forget who had the job but it has all the fruit for Marie’s nectar making. Also space
for her traveling treasures, vases, gargoyles and tomb markers. Marie has the
Seasoned Traveler LTW so she’ll be filling this up HOPEFULLY with all the tombs from
the three destinations. I never get the Nectary tomb quest in France…never got it
but I want it. Also my gem cutter and treasure chests are down here. I have 6 right
now.
9. Under the main house are my Skull cut gems and all my Tiberium spires. I’ve put the
portraits down here as well as some of Medina and Rena’s masterpiece paintings. My
alchemy cabinet is here as well the high school diplomas. I just got the body shaper
to burn up some a Temecula’s accumulated LTR points. No one uses it. And the
martial arts dummy is here too. I should be selling the Tiberium spires they literally
have several hundred thousand dollars worth of them down here. All of them are five
digit prices…eventually I’ll sell them. If I remember.
10. These are the common gem Skull cuts, top row is Ruby, Yellow
Sapphire, Blue Topaz and Emerald. Bottom row is Amethyst,
Tanzanite, Citrine and Diamond.
11. These are my “second tier” matte finish gemstone Skulls. The rarer gems and
the travel destination specific ones and the Smoky Quartz because I had no
room left on the Common Display. Top row has Jade, Smithsonite, Turquoise
and Fluorite. Second row has Lapis Lazuli, Alabaster, Smoky Quartz and Quartz
skulls.
13. And my Tiberium spires. At the time of this picture I had ten, since then I’ve
gotten four more so I have fourteen now. Each one of them is worth between
$30 000 and $42 000 so they are my precious…did you know that even if you
cut the Tiberium into a heart shape it will still mutate into the Spire? I didn’t.
I wanted some cool radioactive hearts to display but game says NO.
14. And my heir wall. Temecula and Medina, Rena and Jet, Li Sung and
Celia on one wall.
15. And on the other wall, Marie and Alfred. I need a bigger wall soon, I
need twenty spaces for all my heirs and spouses and right now I only
have twelve.
16. And the exterior wintery house shot. Temecula’s garden is still going strong
and the pretty $50 000 fountain is where I’ve kept the nice, tall perma-plat
graves of my three dead so far. Although I think the house needs a new colour
on the outside it kind of blends into the snow being all grey like that. And I
think it needs a fireplace somewhere for that cozy chimney in the winter look.
Next rebuild will have one for sure.
17. And the Skilling Shack too. You can see the covered walkway a little
better now with all the walls up and the roof on. It needs to be
“prettied” up some more I think, the lovely Dragon Valley columns
are screaming for some greenery around them.
18. Yes I still kept the giant dumpster sized meteor that nearly killed Rena before
her time. It’s worth like $10 000 so I’ll let it “mature” in value a bit before I
decide where to put it. I just realized the Atredius family is sitting on so much
money…I need to use it somehow, I know buying venues is one way to kill the
cash flow but it’s still like a drop in the bucket by this point for them.
19. A closer shot of the fountain and the graves. It looks nice when the
water’s running though even if it doesn’t actually freeze in the winter
like you’d expect it to.
20. Another one of the barn silo because awesome barn silo is awesome. I
love the Late Night stained glass windows and door in it, they work so
well with the old world feel this challenge is supposed to have.
21. I did say there was a new family member earlier. Meet Celia’s “son bot” Forrest
Atredius. He was the result of her inventing opportunity to create the
Mysterious Invention. Celia has now reached level 10 of the Inventing career
and only has to discover all the potions to complete generation three’s
requirements.
22. Forrest is a Brave, Savvy Sculptor, Hydrophobic, Friendly Diva who likes Chili
Con Carne (a.k.a. scrap metal), French music, and the colour Sea Foam. His LTW
is to be an International Super Spy. I rarely use the Ambitions Sim Bots because
they’re so frail. Rain and snow literally kill them and they stay broken until someone
with enough Handy skill comes along to fix them. I prefer Plumbots to the Sim bots,
but we’re not TECHNICALLY allowed to go to the future in an EPIC…
23. One more shot of the Atredius Estate for the road. This time without
the snow messing up my pictures.
******
24. Next time, we will have a new heir and a new generational challenge.
I’m going to call a mulligan now because Alfred is glitched and
therefore cannot take a rabbit hole job in Sports like he’s supposed
to. I think it’s because I artificially aged him up to a YA right after
Marie instead of letting the timer run out naturally. I didn’t want
Marie and Alfred to be like 9 days apart again like Rena and Jet were,
since Alfred’s a fairy and won’t age or die thanks to my Immortal Life
mod for fairies, vamps, werewolves and ghosts. I will probably
artificially age him to Adult when Marie does like I did with Celia
because I really don’t want them hanging around and taking up house
space for the new generations that follow them, and I don’t trust SP
to take good care of them if I release them into the “wild” instead.
